Johnson County seeks community feedback on how to invest $29.3 million of American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds.
The third public input session will take place from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 13, in Meeting Room A of the Coralville Public Library, 1401 5th Street, Coralville. This session will focus on addressing the negative economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, specifically for residents, workers, business owners and impacted industries. Input session participants can share pandemic-related experiences and priorities through a live-polling format.

Johnson County Teen Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program to begin at Regina Catholic Education Center
Johnson County Emergency Management Agency (EMA), in partnership with Regina Catholic Education Center in Iowa City, is implementing Iowa’s first school-based Community Emergency Response Team (Teen CERT) program for students. Weekly training classes are set to begin on Wednesday, Sept. 22, and will conclude Friday, Nov. 5, providing a total of 20 hours of in-class instruction.
