Springmier Community / School Library is located in the North end of the Middle School. We are a community library located in the north end of the Clear Creek Amana Middle School. We are a non-profit HOME Program under the Iowa Finance Authority. Solon Community Housing Corp. apartments provides housing for lower-income households. We have 20 non-smoking units, with both 1 and 2 bedroom apartments. We are conveniently located 10 miles north of Iowa City, Iowa, in Johnson County.  Solon provides a good location for tenants to live in a smaller community and easily commute in less than twenty minutes to the Veterans Hospital and the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

SHIIP is a free, confidential and objective service of the State of Iowa Insurance Division. Seniors Together in Aging Research (STAR) Registry

The STAR Registry is a database of Iowans age 50 and older who are interested in volunteering for research studies at the University of Iowa. Older adults are typically under-represented in scientific research, making study results less helpful to the older population. STAR was created to: • facilitate the inclusion of older adults in UI research studies • help increase the quantity and quality of research relating to older adults STAR matches research volunteers with studies for which they are likely to qualify, using information provided by each volunteer.
