The Johnson County Ambulance Service (JCAS) announces the launch of its Narcan® Leave Behind Program, a pilot initiative designed to increase community access to intranasal naloxone (Narcan). This life-saving medication reverses opioid overdoses.

Johnson County Zoning Board of Adjustment vacancy

The Johnson County Board of Supervisors announces a vacancy on the Johnson County Zoning Board of Adjustment for residents of unincorporated Johnson County. The vacancy term begins upon appointment and expires Dec. 31, 2028.

Duties are established by Johnson County Unified Development Ordinance Chapter 8:1.29(A), and include the following:

Thanksgiving 2025 holiday hours for Johnson County governmental offices

Most Johnson County governmental offices will be closed Thursday, Nov. 27, and Friday, Nov. 28, 2025, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.

Ambulance: Johnson County Ambulance Service (JCAS) will be available for routine and emergency response. The JCAS billing and administrative offices will be closed. Emergency services remain available 365 days a year. In an emergency, residents should always dial 911.
