State Ending COVID-19 Mandatory Reporting

Effective April 1, the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (Iowa HHS) will no longer require positive COVID-19 tests to be reported to the state Public Health Division. Since March 2020, any COVID-19 test processed in a clinical lab was required to be reported to the state Public Health Division and then to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Johnson County accepting applications for Economic Development and Quality of Life Grant Programs through March 31

The Johnson County Board of Supervisors is accepting applications for Fiscal Year 2024 Economic Development and Quality of Life Grants from Monday, Feb. 27 through Friday, March 31, 2023.

Each year through the budgeting process, the Board of Supervisors allocates funds to promote economic development in Johnson County and enhance the quality of life for its residents. For Fiscal Year 2024 (July 1, 2023−June 30, 2024), the Board allocated $300,000 total for both grant opportunities.
