We can help you understand your civil rights and responsibilities when dealing with the government, your employer, or other service providers, and we can help you stand up for those rights if you feel you are being treated unfairly. Examples of Advocacy services: - IEP Representation - Assistance in Social Security or Social Security/Disability benefits application and appeals. - Representation in any kind of corrective action, mediation processes, and/or civil rights-related activities.

For more than 30 years, AARP Driver Safety has helped millions of drivers learn defensive driving techniques to help them stay safe on the road. The course teaches:

- How to reduce traffic violations, crashes and chances for injury

55+ RSVP- Retired Senior Volunteer Program - A Program of the United Way of Johnson & Washington Counties

RSVP is one of the largest volunteer networks in the nation for people 55 and better. It is a federal program under Senior Corps, which is part of the Corporation for National and Community Service. Housed locally by United Way of Johnson & Washington Counties. The United Way 55+ RSVP Program serves three counties - Johnson, Muscatine, and Des Moines. Engages community members 55+ in meaningful volunteer opportunities to meet community needs that benefit citizens of all ages as well as enrich the life of the volunteer.
