Johnson County accepting applications for Economic Development and Quality of Life Grants through June 06

The Johnson County Board of Supervisors is accepting applications for Fiscal Year 2026 Economic Development and Quality of Life Grants from May 12 through 4 p.m. on June 06, 2025.

Each year through the budgeting process, the Board of Supervisors allocates funds to promote economic development in Johnson County and enhance the quality of life for its residents.

Economic Development grants are available for 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(6) organizations serving Johnson County to address at least one of four priority areas:

The Johnson County Board of Supervisors is accepting applications for Fiscal Year 2026 Economic Development and Quality of Life Grants from May 12 through 4 p.m. on June 06, 2025.

Johnson County hosts bicycle commuter and recreational rider breakfast May 13

Bicycle commuters and recreational riders are invited to enjoy a free, locally made fresh breakfast from 7 to 9 a.m. Tuesday, May 13, at the patio just south of the Johnson County Administration Building located at 913 S. Dubuque Street in Iowa City.

The breakfast will feature empanadas, coffee, juice and fruit. Free trail maps, bike tip sheets and bike pins will also be available.

The rain location is the lower level of the nearby Health and Human Services (HHS) Building parking ramp, located at 855 S. Dubuque Street.
