Due to recent storm related repairs needed on the outdoor warning sirens located in Solon, we will need to test out of our normal sequence this Friday at 10 am on April 14, 2023 for the Solon sirens only assuming weather conditions permit.

Johnson County Board of Health Renews Stance on E-Cigarettes

On March 22, the Johnson County Board of Health renewed their Position Statement on e-cigarettes for another three years. The Board of Health has held its same stance for nearly a decade that the prohibition on the use of e-cigarettes in state and local smoke-free air regulations and/or enacting tobacco/nicotine-free policies can help address the epidemic of youth e-cigarette use.

Johnson County residents affected by severe weather outbreak encouraged to self-report property damage

Johnson County Emergency Management is encouraging individuals who were affected by the severe weather outbreak on Friday, March 31, 2023, to self-report property damage.

Property damage can be self-reported at https://www.crisistrack.com/public/johnsonIA/request.html. This is the first step for potential individual assistance through the State of Iowa.
