The first installment of Johnson County property and mobile home taxes was due on Thursday, Sept. 1, 2022. Payments must be delivered to the Treasurer’s Office, paid online, or postmarked by Friday, Sept. 30, 2022, to avoid a 1 ½ percent monthly penalty that will begin on Saturday, Oct. 1, 2022.
In-person payments must be made at the Treasurer’s Office, located on the first floor of the Johnson County Administration Building, 913 S. Dubuque St. in Iowa City. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Johnson County Board of Supervisors is accepting applications for one vacancy on the Iowa City Assessor Examining Board for residents living in Iowa City to serve a six-year term beginning upon appointment and ending December 31, 2028.

Johnson County Public Health (JCPH) is pleased to announce three new clinics offering services of the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC). WIC is a nutrition education and food assistance program for pregnant, breastfeeding and postpartum women and children to age five years. WIC can help families find other needed resources like doctors, dentists, and medical insurance.
From Thursday, September 22 to Friday, October 21, Johnson County Public Health asks the Johnson County community to participate in an online health survey to inform the Community Health Improvement Plan.
