Cosgrove Road SW at bridge over North Branch Old Man’s Creek is now open

Johnson County is pleased to announce that Cosgrove Road SW at the bridge over North Branch Old Man’s Creek is OPEN to traffic.

Minor off-road work will continue, so use caution during travel.

This marks completion of a $1.24M bridge replacement project awarded to Taylor Construction, Inc. of New Vienna, Iowa.

Johnson County Board of Supervisors recording protocols during meetings

The Johnson County Board of Supervisors and Auditor’s Office will maintain normal practice of pausing recordings during public meetings once the Chairperson gavels declaring a recess.

The recording platforms employed by the Board, will be paused immediately after the Chair gavels to declare a recess. This standard practice aims to maintain the integrity of the recordings while providing a clear distinction between active meeting proceedings and recess periods.

Public invited to help update Johnson County Comprehensive Plan priorities

The update process has begun for the Johnson County 2018 Comprehensive Plan: Sustaining Success Through 2028. This process includes opportunities for the public to share their ideas and thoughts on priorities and key issues. The plan was adopted in 2018 with the intention that there would be a review after five years.
