Residents in Johnson County can take an easy step towards reducing home energy use, increasing indoor comfort and saving money on energy bills by scheduling a no-cost home energy audit with Green Iowa AmeriCorps.
Due to blizzard conditions expected tonight through tomorrow morning, Johnson County Secondary Roads will be removing snow removal equipment at 6 p.m. today, Friday, Jan. 12. Crews will resume normal operations early Saturday morning.
Visibility is expected to diminish greatly this evening as winds increase causing potential whiteout conditions, as well as blowing and drifting snow. Residents are asked to stay at home through these dangerous weather conditions.
Due to impending weather conditions, Johnson County governmental buildings will be closed on Friday, Jan. 12, 2024. As of now, the Johnson County Courthouse will remain open.
