Weather permitting, F46 (American Legion Road SE), between 400^th Street and Wapsi Avenue, will be closed to through traffic on Monday, August 12, 2024. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses along this segment of the road. Through traffic should follow the detour route, which will use 400^th Street and Wapsi Avenue.

This closure is necessary to replace two road culverts and is anticipated to last 10 days.

The Johnson County Auditor’s Office will be moving back to the Johnson County Administration Building, 913 S. Dubuque Street, Iowa City following the completion of remodel construction.

Homeowners in unincorporated Johnson County and its smaller communities who would like to have greener and healthier lawns without the use of chemicals, can apply to have 50% of the costs for soil quality restoration reimbursed (up to $2,000) through the Johnson County Soil Health Program. Homeowners who wish to participate must be pre-approved by the program coordinators and use a contractor from a pre-approved list.
